KOJIC ACID DIPALMITATE
INCI Name: Kojic Dipalmitate
CAS Number: 79725-98-7
Product Description
Kojic Acid Dipalmitate is a highly stable, oil-soluble derivative of kojic acid, designed to deliver powerful skin-brightening benefits without the instability of raw kojic acid. It inhibits tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for melanin production, making it ideal for fading dark spots, melasma, and uneven skin tone.
Unlike regular kojic acid, this version is resistant to oxidation, heat, and light, making it perfect for long-lasting formulations. It’s gentle, non-irritating, and suitable for all skin types.
Recommended Use Rate
Leave-on products (serums, creams, lotions): 1–5%
Body oils & emulsions: 1–5%
Spot treatments & toners: 1–3%
Add to the heated oil phase (80–85°C) for proper dispersion. Use solvents like Isopropyl Myristate or Isopropyl Palmitate to prevent crystallization.
pH Stability
Stable across pH 3 to 10
Unlike kojic acid, it does not oxidize or discolor easily
Ideal for oil-based or emulsified systems, not suitable for water-only formulas
Key Benefits
