Isopropyl Myristate is a fast-spreading, low-viscosity ester derived from isopropyl alcohol and myristic acid. It’s widely used in cosmetics as a non-greasy emollient, solubilizer, and penetration enhancer. Known for its silky feel and excellent skin absorption, it helps reduce the greasy texture of oil-rich formulations while improving spreadability and skin conditioning.

Ideal for use in lotions, creams, serums, massage oils, and anhydrous balms, Isopropyl Myristate leaves the skin soft and smooth without a heavy residue.

Recommended Use Rate
Lotions & creams: 1–10%

Serums & oils: 2–15%

Makeup removers & cleansing balms: 5–20%

Hair care & scalp treatments: 1–5%

Add to the oil phase of emulsions. Compatible with most esters, oils, and silicones.
